Introducing our new logo!

We look forward to offering uniforms, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sparring bags, and more in the very near future.

Spring is just around the corner…

A time for rebirth, renewal, growth. The longer, warmer days often result in increased desire and energy to exercise our minds and bodies. Spring is a wonderful time to begin or step up training as well as take training outdoors as the weather improves. Mix up your training schedule and try some new classes! If that doesn’t sound like fun, there is always spring cleaning….

Participate in our Sister School Tournament!

It will be held on Sunday, March 13th at 1:00 pm at Santa Cruz Family Martial Arts on Water Street. This is a great way to experience a tournament in a low stress, safe environment for a very reasonable price. Events include traditional forms, creative forms, sparring, board breaking, and grappling. Sign up sheets will be available here at Valley Tae Kwon Do.

Special Spring Training

Special Training will be held during Spring Break Monday April 4th through Friday, April 8th. The focus will be on sparring and will include conditioning and speed drills in addition to sparring techniques and strategies. This is an excellent opportunity to take your training to the next level. Mr. Weeks will be conducting these classes and every participant will benefit from his extensive tournament experience as a competitor and as a coach. Special training works best as a supplement to your regular training, not a replacement. It is a challenging week, but extremely rewarding.
Kids classes will be from 10:00 am to 11:00am and adults will be from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm.
Fee is $10 per day.

Upcoming Promotional Test

The next promotional test will take place on Saturday, April 16 at 10:00 a.m. In order to test you must be approved by a black belt instructor, be up to date with your tuition, and provide testing fee by Thursday, April 14th.

Take care of yourself—and others

It’s been a challenging winter with lots of illness. Please, out of respect for everyone who trains and works at Valley Tae Kwon Do, do not come to the studio when you are sick. It is always best to err on the side of caution if there is any possibility that you might be contagious. Not only do we have a lot of close contact when we train, but germs are readily passed via paddles, bags, the bars, etc. Everyone’s cooperation is greatly appreciated, not just during the winter months, but all year long.
